Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Radiographer to join our medical imaging team. The Radiographer will be responsible for operating radiologic equipment, capturing diagnostic images, and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during procedures.


Responsibilities:


  • Greet and prepare patients for diagnostic imaging procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns or questions. Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
  • Operate X-ray, CT, MRI, or other medical imaging equipment following established protocols and safety procedures.
  • Position patients correctly and capture high-quality diagnostic images, adjusting equipment settings as needed to achieve the desired results.
  • Adhere to radiation safety guidelines to minimize patient and staff exposure to radiation. Properly shield patients as necessary.
  • Process and review images to ensure clarity and accuracy. Identify and retake images as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and image documentation. Complete required paperwork and electronic health records (EHR).
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to maintain the reliability and accuracy of imaging equipment.
  • Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide timely and accurate diagnostic images. Communicate any special patient considerations or concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Stay current with advances in medical imaging technology and techniques. Attend training and continuing education programs as required to maintain licensure and certification.

  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist or Radiographer.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of medical imaging equipment operation and safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
