Job Description

The Senior Staff Nurse at our Pediatric Clinic is an integral member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing exceptional care to our young patients and their families. Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients ranging from infants to adolescents.
  • Assess and monitor patient conditions, documenting changes and developments diligently.
  • Lead and mentor junior nursing staff, fostering a team-oriented environment.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to plan and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Educate and support pediatric patients' families regarding health conditions and care protocols.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills relevant to pediatric nursing best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare policies, protocols, and regulations at all times.
  • Facilitate effective patient handoffs and maintain accurate patient health records.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to exacting standards.
  • Handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently, prioritizing patient safety.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and continuing education activities.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program is mandatory.
  • Current registered nurse (RN) license in good standing, with no restrictions.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working with pediatric patients in a clinical setting.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience in mentoring junior staff members.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of pediatric healthcare protocols and nursing procedures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team is essential.
