Job Description

The Project Coordinator - Civil will be an integral part of our engineering and construction teams, responsible for ensuring effective coordination and execution of civil projects from inception to completion. The role requires a motivated individual who can manage resources, facilitate communication, and ensure project deliverables are met according to specifications and within the allocated timeline and budget. The successful candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a deep understanding of civil engineering principles, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with engineers, architects, and construction managers to assist in planning, scheduling, and executing various project tasks, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project activities and ensure resources are efficiently allocated across all phases.
  • Assist in developing detailed project plans, including schedules, milestones, and resource planning.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among project stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Monitor project progress and performance to ensure alignment with objectives and deadlines.
  • Prepare and present detailed project status reports for management review and decision-making.
  • Identify potential project risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies for their resolution.
  • Coordinate changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs as necessary and approved.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, quality standards, and safety regulations throughout the project.
  • Support the procurement process by coordinating with suppliers and managing material deliveries.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, specifications, and correspondence.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to ensure their expectations and requirements are met satisfactorily.
  • Provide support in organizing and conducting site meetings and inspections as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project coordination within the civil engineering sector.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize tasks.
  • Familiarity with project management software, such as Primavera or Microsoft Project.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and quality standards in construction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
