Job Description

A Procurement Engineer plays a crucial role within an organization, focusing on acquiring cost-effective and quality materials necessary for operations and projects.   • Prepare and maintain detailed reports on procurement activities, costs, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal regulations and company policies.
  • Manage risks related to supply chain and procurement operations effectively.
  • Evaluate and promote environmental sustainability in sourcing processes.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to understand technical specifications required for projects.
  • Facilitate communication between suppliers and project teams to resolve issues promptly.
  • Conduct regular audits of supplier processes and procurement practices to maintain quality assurance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in a procurement or purchasing role, preferably in an engineering environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful supplier management.
  • Excellent analytical skills to assess suppliers, costs, and market conditions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Understanding of contract law and industry-specific regulations affecting procurement.
