Job Description

As an Operations Manager in Logistics, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the efficient functioning of our logistics operations. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless processes of transporting goods from suppliers to customers, managing relationships with third-party services, and optimizing supply chain operations to achieve high performance. Your expertise in logistics will help drive organizational growth, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance overall productivity. You will work closely with different departments to streamline processes, maintain cost-effectiveness, and ensure the timely delivery of goods. This position requires strong leadership skills, technological proficiency, and a keen eye for detail.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversee daily logistics operations to ensure on-time delivery and cost-effective service.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, transportation companies, and vendors to ensure smooth processes.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to improve logistic operations.
  • Lead and manage the logistics team, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Evaluate existing supply chain processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with logistics regulations and company policies at all levels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance communication and improve overall operations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external logistics partners and stakeholders.
  • Implement and manage warehouse management systems to optimize inventory control.
  • Prepare and present reports on logistics metrics and performance to senior management.
  • Respond promptly to and resolve issues related to supply chain disruptions or delays.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Operations Manager in a logistics or similar industry.
  • Strong understanding of logistics operations, supply chain management, and warehousing.
  • Excellent leadership skills with an ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to drive process improvements.
  • Proficient in logistics software and systems to manage supply chain operations.
  • Exceptional communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
