Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the immediate leadership, guidance and supervision for all assigned Warehouse Operations and Distribution employees.
  • Plan and oversee the execution of all supply activities within the Warehouse Operations and Distribution Department, with particular emphasis on the receipt, storage, issue and distribution of spares.
  • Develop, implement, revise and enforce all supply directives within the Warehouse Operations and Distribution Department.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, housekeeping and environmental directives.
  • Ensure all issued tools, test equipment and high-value property is maintained in a serviceable condition, routinely inventoried and safeguarded.
  • Review the job performance and training of all Warehouse Operations and Distribution employees to ensure the successful and effective accomplishment of all required tasks.
  • Oversee the storage and disposal of all hazardous materials in accordance with all environmental directives and host country regulations.
  • Monitor all direct labour man hours.
  • Ensure that all Warehouse Operations and Distribution related documentation is completed in accordance with all maintenance directives.
  • Manage and coordinate the complex and interrelated warehousing and distribution activities on a daily basis.
  • Manage all warehouse transactions in SAP and review operational reports for accuracy and validation.
  • Develop, implement and enforce standardised performance metrics for the Warehouse Operations and Distribution Department.
  • Monitor and control the movement of spares between stores to ensure inventory control, availability and to maximise space utilisation.
  • Demonstrate expertise related to inventories and the investigation of asset count discrepancies.
  • Train supervisors on methods for implementing causative research, preventing inventory discrepancies and initiating correctives actions.

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor degree in Logistics required Master degree preferred, or Equivalent years of Experiences in the same field
  • A minimum of six to eight years of experience supervising, managing, and/or directing a team in warehousing operations is preferred.
  • Previous military experience or logistics/supply experience is an advantage.

Key Skills:

  • Experience with Department of Defence supply concepts and MILSTRIP procedures is an advantage.
  • Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office software and SAP is preferred.
  • The ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally is required; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Must have valid UAE driver’s license.
