Job Description

The Manager of Warehouse Operations and Distributions plays a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the logistics, storage, and distribution functions of a warehouse or distribution center. This position requires a strategic thinker who can manage day-to-day operations while implementing continuous improvement strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities to guide teams, manage resources, and coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless operations. They will also have a deep understanding of supply chain management, inventory control, and safety regulations, ensuring the warehouse operates in compliance with company policies and industry standards. Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the warehouse and distribution center.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse productivity and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with procurement and sales departments to align inventory with business needs.
  • Lead and manage warehouse staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages and excesses.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy of order fulfillment processes.
  • Maintain relationships with logistics service providers for timely and cost-effective deliveries.
  • Create and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective warehouse operations.
  • Utilize warehouse management software to track inventory and optimize operations.
  • Analyze operational data and trends to identify areas for process improvement.
  • Plan and oversee maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment and facilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in warehouse management or operations.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in managing large teams effectively.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse management software and logistics technology.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards within a warehouse setting.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration.
