Job Description

The Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in managing the smooth operation of a company's supply chain processes. This position is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the entire lifecycle of product transportation from the point of origin to the consumer, ensuring timely and cost-efficient delivery. The role involves constant communication with suppliers, transporters, and vendors to streamline operations and mitigate any potential disruptions. The Logistics Coordinator ensures compliance with safety standards and shipping regulations, optimizing logistics workflows to enhance efficiency. This dynamic role requires exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in logistics software and systems to keep processes running efficiently and cost-effectively.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations to ensure smooth processes.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, suppliers, and retailers to resolve issues.
  • Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements.
  • Oversee inventory control, ensuring stocks are adequate and inventory is accurate.
  • Manage logistics team that consists of drivers, warehouse staff, and support personnel.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
  • Prepare accurate reports for management on logistics performance and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and shipping regulations.
  • Use IT systems to manage stock levels, delivery times, and transport costs.
  • Maintain and develop positive business relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints from customers promptly and professionally.
  • Evaluate and propose improvements in current logistics processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or similar logistics role.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and inventory management software systems.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities are a must.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of safety and legal regulations in the logistics and supply chain industry.
