Junior Landscape Architect (225-717)

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Landscape Architect to join our dynamic team of design professionals. As a Junior Landscape Architect, you will contribute to a variety of impactful projects, ranging from urban parks and recreational spaces to commercial landscapes and residential gardens. You will work closely with seasoned architects and planners, gaining valuable experience while simultaneously executing your creative solutions to enhance natural and built environments. Your role will involve both fieldwork and desk work, including site assessments, design development, presentation creation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing innovative and sustainable landscape design concepts and plans.
• Support senior architects in conducting site analysis and environmental impact assessments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, architects, and planners.
• Create detailed landscape drawings and specifications using CAD and other design software.
• Prepare and present design proposals and alterations to stakeholders and clients.
• Participate in client meetings to understand their vision and requirements for projects.
• Assist in developing project cost estimates and managing budget constraints.
• Perform regular site visits to oversee construction and ensure design integrity is maintained.
• Gather and analyze data on environmental reports, existing vegetation, and soil conditions.
• Update project stakeholders regularly on progress and address any arising issues.
• Contribute to research and development initiatives for innovative landscaping technologies.
• Ensure compliance with zoning, environmental, and other regulatory guidelines and standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or a closely related field is required.
• Proficient in using CAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design software tools.
• Strong understanding of landscape design principles and sustainable practices.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and independently when needed.
• Experience with project management and ability to meet tight deadlines.
