Responsibilities

• Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures using hand and power tools.

• Use blueprints, wiring diagrams, and specifications for installation processes.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring.
• Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment.
• Direct and train other workers or apprentices as needed by the project.
• Provide feedback to improve electrical systems and propose cost-saving measures.
• Adhere to all legal regulations and safety standards to minimize risk of accidents.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an electrician apprenticeship.
• Valid electrician certificate/license according to state or local regulations.
• Proven experience as an electrician in residential or commercial environments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and other instructions.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, power equipment, and safety standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
• Good physical condition and stamina; ability to work in confined spaces or at heights.
