Job Description

As an Automotive Service Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the service department, while simultaneously driving overall profitability and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for leading a team of skilled automotive technicians and service advisors, collaborating efficiently to deliver high-quality service and repairs. Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the service department, ensuring efficiency.
  • Lead and motivate a team of skilled automotive technicians and service advisors.
  • Monitor technicians' work to ensure high-quality service and timely delivery.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance service center profitability.
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships to ensure repeat business.
  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring essential parts and supplies are available.
  • Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and company policies.
  • Handle customer complaints, providing solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for timely procurement of parts.
  • Analyze service department's financial data for informed decision making.
  • Organize continuous training for staff to keep up with industry trends.
  • Prepare regular reports on service department performance for management review.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Technology or related field is preferred.
  • Proven work experience as an Automotive Service Manager for several years.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing a diverse team.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
  • In-depth knowledge of automotive systems, components, and mechanics.
  • Ability to analyze and improve service department processes effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills for multitasking tasks.
