The CBE has been accredited by AACSB since 2000. Candidates are expected to have: 1) A strong commitment to teaching excellence, course development, and student advising at both undergraduate and graduate levels. 2) A demonstrable research capability that will enable the candidate to develop and sustain an internally and/or externally funded research program in his/her area of expertise that will result in publishing his/her research findings in refereed journals. 3) The ability to actively engage in promoting the growth of the Finance program and the College of Business and Economics (CBE) at UAEU through personal outreach and outreach with students to the public and private sectors. 4) Participate in the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate research projects and/or dissertations. 5) Participate in committees at the departmental, college, and university levels as assigned. 6) Provide consultancy to researchers, and the business community.

Minimum Qualification

  • A Ph.D. in Finance from an internationally recognized university and AACSB-accredited school. 2) A research record in Finance; and demonstrated ability to publish in leading international journals. 3) Strong commitment to excellence in teaching, curriculum development, and outcome assessment. 4) Experience in teaching Finance courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. 5) Open to cross-disciplinary collaboration in research, teaching and program development. 6) Ability to communicate effectively in English; and 7) Excellent interpersonal skills, as a flexible and versatile team player.
