Job Description

The Department of Internal Medicine, College of Medicine and Health Sciences (CMHS), UAE University, seeks a candidate for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor/Full Professor in Internal Medicine (any specialty). The CMHS operates an internationally recognized, integrated and problem-based curriculum and provides excellent research facilities. The primary missions of the College of Medicine are education and research, but clinical practice opportunities in affiliated teaching hospitals are available too. The successful candidate will therefore engage in teaching undergraduate preclinical and clinical medical students. The appointee will also be involved in organizing clinical examinations in Internal Medicine for MBBS and postgraduate certification ((Arab/ Emirati Board). There will also be an opportunity to participate in the clinical service that covers acute Medicine and ambulatory outpatient service at one of the affiliated teaching hospitals, and to contribute to research within the CMHS and in collaboration with clinical colleagues in the affiliated teaching hospitals.

Minimum Qualification

Candidates for this position must 1. Hold an MD or MBBS degree 2. Demonstrate evidence of advanced clinical and research training 3. Have Board certification (or equivalent), in Internal Medicine from accredited programs in North America, Australia, Europe or South Africa Be eligible to get a consultant license according to the current regulation of the Department of Health
