Job Description

The Employee Relations Associate will support the Human Resources department by managing day-to-day HR operations, with a primary focus on handling medical insurance endorsements (additions/deletions) and performing monthly reconciliations. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Medical Insurance Management :
  • Process additions and deletions of employees and dependents in the company’s medical insurance plans in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Coordinate with insurance providers to ensure seamless updates to employee insurance records.
  • Maintain accurate records of insurance endorsements and resolve discrepancies with employees or providers.
  • Communicate with employees regarding insurance-related inquiries, updates, and documentation requirements.
  • Monthly Reconciliation :
  • Conduct monthly reconciliation of HR-related financial records, including payroll, benefits, and insurance premium payments.
  • Verify accuracy of employee data and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial reports related to HR operations.
  • Prepare reports summarizing reconciliation outcomes for review by HR Manager.
  • Day-to-Day HR Operations :
    • Assist in onboarding new employees, including preparing documentation and coordinating benefits enrollment.
    • Maintain employee records in HRIS (Human Resource Information System) and ensure data integrity.
    • Support payroll processing by providing accurate employee data and updates.
    • Assist with employee relations, including addressing basic inquiries and escalating complex issues to the HR Manager.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and regulations.
    • Administrative Support :
      • Prepare and distribute HR-related communications, such as policy updates or benefits information.
      • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers as needed.
      • Assist in organizing employee engagement activities or HR-related events.
    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • 2-3 years of experience in HR operations, with specific experience in managing medical insurance endorsements and reconciliations.
    • Strong understanding of HR processes, benefits administration, and payroll reconciliation.
    • Proficiency in HRIS platforms (SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
    • High attention to detail and accuracy in handling sensitive data.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
    • Knowledge of local labor laws and compliance requirements is a plus.

    Preferred Skills

    • Experience working with insurance providers or third-party administrators.
    • Familiarity with financial reconciliation processes.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
