Job Description

As a Vendor Account Manager, you will be at the heart of our business relationships with various vendors. Your primary goal will be to nurture and grow these crucial partnerships, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and that our organization's needs are met. You will be responsible for negotiating terms, resolving conflicts, and ensuring compliance with contracts. This role requires someone who can manage multiple accounts with meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Strong communication skills are essential, as you'll be the main liaison between the vendor and our internal teams, guaranteeing that everyone is aligned and informed. Your efforts will be key in driving mutual growth, fostering collaboration, and maintaining the integrity of our vendor relationships.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain and cultivate strong vendor relationships through effective communication strategies.
  • Negotiate and finalize agreements ensuring favorable terms for all parties involved.
  • Monitor vendor performance to ensure compliance with established contracts and standards.
  • Handle and resolve any potential conflicts or disputes with vendors professionally.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to align vendor services with organizational objectives.
  • Develop comprehensive vendor assessments to streamline and enhance service quality.
  • Oversee the onboarding of new vendors ensuring seamless integration with company processes.
  • Keep detailed records of interactions, agreements, and progress with all vendors.
  • Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for growth with existing vendors.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products and services from vendors.
  • Evaluate vendor bids to determine fit with company goals and budget constraints.
  • Prepare reports on vendor performance and present findings to senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in vendor relationship management or similar role.
  • Exceptional negotiation and conflict resolution skills are required for success.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with vendors and internal teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and capability to prepare detailed reports on vendor performance.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple vendor accounts concurrently.
  • Proficiency with vendor management systems and strong organizational skills.
