Job Description

The Senior Construction Project Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing construction projects from inception to completion. This role requires leadership, strategic planning, and in-depth understanding of construction methodologies to ensure projects meet specified objectives within given budgets and timeframes. They are responsible for liaising with stakeholders, from architects to government agencies, ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards, and applying innovative problem-solving skills to mitigate any challenges that arise. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication skills to manage teams efficiently and maintain client satisfaction through transparent operations and updates. Their priority is to ensure that all stages of the project are aligned with company goals and industry standards.


Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive project plans that align with client requirements and objectives.
  • Oversee all phases of construction projects from planning to implementation and closure.
  • Allocate resources effectively and prioritize tasks to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project specifications.
  • Monitor construction progress, addressing issues and adjusting timelines as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all building codes, regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress and quality of work on-site.
  • Prepare budget estimates and manage financial aspects to meet fiscal objectives.
  • Negotiate contracts with contractors and sub-contractors to align with project budgets.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to clients and senior management on project status.
  • Implement risk management practices to foresee, mitigate, and resolve potential challenges.
  • Coordinate with local authorities for necessary permits and compliance documentation.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field required.
  • At least 10 years of experience in construction project management or a similar role.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects successfully.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities to lead diverse teams.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and related project management tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards, health and safety regulations.
