Job Description

An Operations Manager plays a critical role in an organization, ensuring that business operations are efficient and effective. This position involves overseeing the production of goods and/or services, ensuring effective execution, and working towards maximizing profitability. An Operations Manager is responsible for strategizing and finding ways to ensure that the business runs smoothly and meets the expectations of stakeholders. They work closely with other departments such as human resources, finance, and production to streamline processes, improve quality and productivity, and reduce costs. An Operations Manager must be adaptable, possess strong leadership skills, and have the ability to analyze and improve organizational processes.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the organization efficiently.
  • Strategize and improve service delivery while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Liaise with department heads to align cross-functional operations and strategies.
  • Implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Prepare and manage operational budgets to achieve financial objectives.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with the human resources department for staffing needs and schedules.
  • Analyze data and metrics to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure that operations adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Develop and implement operational policies to support the company’s strategic goals.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality service and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management or a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage diverse teams effectively.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities are required for decision-making.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with various departments and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using operational management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
