Maintenance Engineer Electrical – Markal Factory Location

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to support our business initiatives at our manufacturing facility located at Markal, Pune. The Electrical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for performing regular inspections and maintenance of electrical systems, ensuring safe working conditions, adhering to relevant regulations, troubleshoot and repair electrical issues, and ensuring the reliable operation of all electrical equipment. You shall also be responsible for keeping records of the periodic inspections, keep a register of recommended safety requirements as per relevant regulations.

Other areas of your duties would be to develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules, collaborate with operations and engineering teams to optimize processes, assist in the installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment. Ensure adherence to electrical safety regulations, standards, and procedures. Conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards. Provide safety training and education to ensure personnel are aware of safe work practices. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and safety procedures. Work with other departments, including engineering and production, to ensure electrical systems align with operational requirements and safety standards. Participate in emergency response procedures related to electrical equipment or systems. Ensure a clean and safe work area in accordance with Health and Safety policies and procedures. Conduct toolbox talks for Safety, Quality topics. Participate in Lean programs to improve process and productivity.

You report directly to the Factory Manager.

Who is the professional we are looking for?

To be successful in this role you will have.

A degree in Electrical Engineering with at least five years’ experience in operation and maintenance of electrical installation or a diploma in Electrical Engineering with at least ten years’ experience in operation and maintenance of electrical installations. Needs to hold an Electrical Supervisor License issued by relevant authorities. Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components such as heavy transformers above 250KVA, heavy duty machine tools, CNC machines, SPM machines, Furnaces, and welding machines. Experience with troubleshooting and repair of industrial electrical equipment. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, hands-on experience with maintenance tasks, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Computer literate and understands production tools and systems. Needs to have the ability to achieve results in cooperation with multiple different stakeholders, a systematic and analytical way of working. In addition, you have motivation and ability to achieve results under pressure with strong sense of responsibility and independence. You have effective written and oral communication skills in English with presentation and negotiation skills.
