What You’ll Do

"The Product Data Steward is responsible for managing the product data lifecycle for the division’s products within ERP and PIM systems. In this role, the steward will work under the guidance of the Divisional MDM Lead Data Stewards based in Europe and the Manager – Data Management located in Pondicherry. Additionally, the steward will lead the local divisional team, including direct reports.

This position ensures the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of Eaton’s product master data, thereby supporting the successful implementation of the balanced scorecard across the divisions of Eaton’s Electrical Sector EMEA.

"ERP & PIM Systems Responsibilities

Product Master Data Creation: Support the development of a new product master database using SAP, Product Data Hub, and Front-End initiatives.

Product Transfers: Assist in transferring products between locations by configuring Part, Sales, and MRP views in SAP.

Data Quality Analysis: Utilize data quality tools to assess and improve data accuracy and harmonization.

Manufacturing Support: Provide day-to-day support for EMEA manufacturing sites, including structuring BOMs (Bill of Materials), Routings, PIRs (Purchase Info Records), and Source Lists.

Technical Coordination: Collaborate with technical teams to implement changes in ERP and PIM systems based on LDS and business requirements.

ERP-Specific Responsibilities

Master Data Management: Oversee the creation, implementation, and maintenance of master data solutions to optimize system performance.

Item Migration: Facilitate item migration across CSOs to enhance sales.

Process Improvement: Enhance data lifecycle processes in collaboration with the central MDM team.

Procedure & Workflow Design: Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and workflows.

PIM-Specific Responsibilities

PIM Evaluation Execution: Conduct evaluations in PIM systems as directed by divisional product management.

Content Creation: Develop and organize product datasheets for Eaton.com and online catalogs to meet customer needs.

ETIM Classification Compliance: Initiate data maintenance actions based on PIM evaluation results, ensuring alignment with ETIM standards.

Structure Implementation: Apply validated structures to PIM databases in coordination with subject matter experts.

Attribute Maintenance: Manage item attributes, features, images, and assets for SKUs on online platforms via the PIM system.

Interface Governance: Monitor and govern reports from master data interfaces.

Data Quality Audits: Conduct regular audits to improve product data quality in the system."

Qualifications

BE/B.Tech Electrical /Mechanical or Engineering Degree

1-3 years - Proven and solid experience working in the following ERP system : both SAP and Oracle
