Job Description

The Housekeeping Associate plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of assigned areas to provide a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere for guests and employees alike. Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize assigned areas according to company standards and procedures.
  • Ensure that guest rooms, common areas, and workspaces meet cleanliness expectations.
  • Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
  • Restock cleaning supplies and toiletries in rooms and common areas as needed.
  • Handle and dispose of waste materials following established guidelines and regulations.
  • Perform regular inspections of assigned areas to identify any cleanliness issues.
  • Assist with laundering and folding linens, towels, and other items when necessary.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests and respond to their requests promptly.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient room turnover and cleanliness.
  • Maintain personal protective equipment and report any safety incidents immediately.
  • Document completed tasks and any unusual incidents in the housekeeping logbook.
  • Participate in training sessions and meetings to stay updated on best practices.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is highly desirable.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills are essential.
  • Physical stamina necessary to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy items.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective guest interaction.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and customer service.
