About the Role

The Zonal ER Head – West is responsible for leading and managing the Employee Relations function across the Western Zone. This role ensures a consistent and fair approach to employee relations, compliance with labor laws, and proactive resolution of workplace issues. The incumbent will act as a strategic partner to business leaders, HR teams, and legal stakeholders, driving a culture of transparency, trust, and ethical conduct.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

Lead the ER agenda across the Western Zone, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and values.

Manage employee grievance redressal mechanisms and ensure timely resolution of issues.

Ensure compliance with labor laws, industrial relations regulations, and internal policies.

Conduct investigations into employee misconduct, disciplinary actions, and workplace conflicts.

Partner with HRBPs and business leaders to proactively identify and mitigate ER risks.

Drive awareness and training programs on workplace ethics, POSH, and grievance handling.

Maintain documentation and audit readiness for all ER-related matters.

Secondary Responsibilities

Liaise with external legal counsel and labor authorities as needed.

Support organizational change initiatives from an ER perspective.

Contribute to policy formulation and updates based on evolving legal and business needs.

Analyze ER trends and metrics to inform leadership decisions.

Represent the organization in labor court proceedings or conciliations, if required.

What We Are Looking For

Education

Graduate degree in Law, Human Resources, or related field.

Postgraduate qualification in HR or Labor Law (preferred).

Experience

8–12 years of experience in Employee Relations or Industrial Relations.

Prior experience in managing ER across multiple locations or zones.

Exposure to labor law compliance, grievance handling, and disciplinary processes.

Skills and Attributes

Strong knowledge of labor laws and industrial relations frameworks.

Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.

Ability to manage sensitive issues with discretion and integrity.

Strong stakeholder management and influencing capabilities.

Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret ER data and trends.

High ethical standards and commitment to fairness.
