Role
The individual in this role will independently lead the design & development of new product / innovation project
Responsible for generating ideas, developing product, and executing customer validation trials for assigned projects and work for customer approval.
Demonstrates understanding of the basic principles and applications in their area of expertise.
Individual must apply and interpret standard scientific theories, concepts and techniques.
Provides creative solutions and patentable technologies for solving assigned innovation projects.
Can determine own approach to problems and devise solutions within scope of own ability.
Independently plans and performs laboratory experimentation, customer trials, and operates various machines and testing equipment in evaluation of products.
Regularly communicates progress of and requirements to complete assigned work with manager and project teams.
Responsible to lead and influence all stakeholders’ meetings and project technical outcome.
Contributes to Innovation Idea Pipeline/Funnel through new Ideas and POCs for new exploratory projects.
Key Result Areas
Independently lead product Innovation for Ideation, Product development & Validation stage.
Support in developing/improving and implementation of Global laboratory best practices.
Demonstrated ability to deliver projects within agreed time and budget
Demonstrated ability to work independently and focus on critical project parameters that determine success or failure.
Compliance of laboratory with company safety regulations
Identify potential Project technical risks and create and execute mitigation plan
Manage technical database and Document product design and performance specifications.to ensure ISO compliance.
Demonstrate Subject matter expertise in respective Project domain. Execute the Stage Gate process as per appropriate project management tools in the Ideation, Development and Validation Phase.
Responsible for all key tasks of new product introduction such as Development, planning, Design of experiments, Validations etc.
Conducts independent research and investigations to design and develop a product or process.
Execute project plans and schedules for timely completion of projects.
Independently plan and execute Feasibility study of diversifying product range and explore ideas/concepts for new business opportunities.
Independently develops test procedures and policies for evaluating raw materials, work in process and finished products.
Regularly Interact & communicate with Global R&D team and work in collaboration with multifunctional Teams (Marketing, Analytical, Regulatory etc.)
Functional Knowledge / Skills
Wide technical and business knowledge of the Cleaning & Hygiene industry must be self-motivated, creative with a high-level of energy, customer focus, result oriented. Presentation Skills, - Drive for Results, Process Management, Decision Making, Planning & Estimating, Monitoring & Controlling"
Excellent Chemical and technical know – how, Formulation knowledge of specialty/FMCG chemicals, project management skills, R&D tools and techniques, Stage gate process, Six Sigma, Cost analysis, Good conceptual & problem solving skills essential
Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Result oriented, Ability to lead and drive execution of scientific projects with clear accountability, knowledge of analytical chemistry and cleaning formulation
Qualification
M. Tech. / Ph.D (Chemical Engg, Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Food Technology or equivalent)
Six Sigma: Black Belt or Green Belt / Stage gate process / Project Management preferred
Ph.D (5-8 yrs / MTech (7-9 yrs)
experience in chemical, Detergent, Surfactant / FMCG, specialty Industry, Dairy, Brewery, Beverage, Food Industry
Candidate Experienced Handling Global R&D Project Are Preferred.
