Job Description

As a Legal Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in navigating the complexities of legal frameworks and providing comprehensive legal guidance to our organization. Your expertise will ensure that our operations, contracts, and strategies are compliant with laws and regulations, safeguarding our interests and contributing to our strategic objectives. You will be responsible for drafting and reviewing legal documents and agreements, identifying potential legal risks, and representing the company in various legal proceedings. Your role will not only involve managing the company’s legal affairs but also collaborating closely with different departments to advise on legal implications of various actions, ensuring that decision-making processes align with legal standards. This position requires a highly analytical thinker with excellent research skills and a robust understanding of corporate law and regulatory practices.


Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and revise a wide range of legal documents and agreements.
  • Provide legal advice and support on various corporate and commercial matters.
  • Identify and evaluate potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Represent the company in legal proceedings, negotiations, and contract disputes.
  • Advise on legal implications of the company’s strategic and operational decisions.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to ensure company compliance with relevant laws.
  • Liaise with external counsel for specialized legal services and litigation support.
  • Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to strengthen governance.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of legislative changes and proactively adapt processes.
  • Ensure that the company’s intellectual property rights are protected and enforced.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment on legal and regulatory issues.
  • Prepare and deliver training programs on legal topics for staff as needed.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is mandatory.
  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing with the legal bar association.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a corporate legal environment.
  • Strong understanding of corporate, employment, and contract law principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear legal advice.
  • Detail-oriented with proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop sound solutions.
