Job Description

An HR Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring that a company's employees are managed, organized, and supported effectively. This position serves as a bridge between the organization and its employees, providing advice on employment practices, keeping employee records, and facilitating communication within the company. The HR Officer helps create a positive work environment by ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations, overseeing recruitment and hiring processes, and developing policies that enable a productive workplace. In addition, HR Officers often contribute to strategic planning and provide guidance to staff on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. They are essential in aligning organizational goals with HR initiatives, enhancing employee performance and satisfaction, and minimizing workplace disruptions through proactive conflict resolution.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update employee records with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Facilitate recruitment processes, including advertising job openings and interviewing candidates.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures aligned with organizational goals.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees regarding HR policies and practices.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and workplace regulations at all times.
  • Organize and coordinate training and development programs for staff members.
  • Manage employee performance appraisals and facilitate feedback mechanisms.
  • Address employee grievances, mediate disputes, and manage conflict resolution processes.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and implementation of HR initiatives and projects.
  • Oversee employee benefits programs and assist in payroll management as needed.
  • Analyze HR metrics and data to provide actionable insights for management.
  • Promote a positive organizational culture and foster employee engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field is essential.
  • Proven experience in HR or related administrative roles for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and best practices in HR management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for varied employee interactions.
  • Proficiency in using HR software and tools, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions independently.
