The Food and Beverage (F&B) Service Expert is an essential role in the hospitality industry, tasked with providing exceptional service to ensure a memorable dining experience for guests. This position requires a deep knowledge of culinary and beverage offerings, adeptness at service techniques, and a passion for customer satisfaction. The F&B Service Expert works closely with the kitchen and front-of-house team to anticipate the needs of guests and exceed their expectations. Responsibilities

  • Welcome and greet guests promptly in a warm and friendly manner.
  • Provide outstanding service by anticipating and fulfilling guest needs.
  • Present menus, answer inquiries, and make recommendations to guests.
  • Serve food and beverages according to established protocols and standards.
  • Check guests' IDs to ensure they meet age requirements for alcohol consumption.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of service and dining areas.
  • Handle guest complaints and resolve issues with professionalism and calmness.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling procedures.
  • Upsell additional items to increase the dining experience and sales revenue.
  • Keep track of inventory and communicate restocking needs to management.
  • Participate in regular training and development sessions to improve service skills.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required, a higher education or diploma in hospitality preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality sector.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and a cheerful, friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detailed understanding of food service regulations and hospitality standards.
  • Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and order management tools.
  • Physical stamina to stand and walk throughout a standard shift duration.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
