Business Intelligence Developer Fresher Group Data And AI

At TORM, our corporate functions work closely with our shipping-specific roles to drive innovation and excellence. We are evolving our BI landscape to embrace cloud-native technologies and are looking for a passionate fresher to join our Group Data and AI team.

Your Role: Shaping the future of BI

As BI Developer, you will support the team in delivering impactful analytics and reporting solutions. You’ll be involved in the full BI lifecycle—from data ingestion to visualization while learning from experienced professionals and contributing to our cloud migration journey.

We are transitioning from on-premises Microsoft BI tools to Azure Cloud Architecture. This includes:

• Migrating ETL processes from SSIS to Databricks
• Replacing SSAS cubes with Power BI Semantic Models
• Redirecting Power BI and SSRS reports to Databricks sources

As part of our evolving data strategy, the Group Data and AI team is also embarking on an AI journey. We are actively identifying AI use cases across the organization and implementing solutions. This presents exciting opportunities for team members to contribute to innovative projects and gain exposure to cutting-edge AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the business through continuous optimization, design, development, and deployment of ETLs, Power BI dashboards and Semantic models
• Help design and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports connected to cloud data sources
• Assist in developing and maintaining ETL pipelines using Databricks
• Support the migration of legacy SSIS packages to Databricks notebooks and workflows
• Participate in the transformation of SSAS cubes into Power BI Semantic Models
• Collaborate with team members to document and test BI solutions
• Learn and apply best practices in data modelling, performance tuning, and cloud data architecture

Your Profile

We’re looking for a motivated fresher who is excited to learn and grow in a dynamic BI environment.

To succeed in this role, you bring

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Basic understanding of SQL, data structures, and BI concepts
• Familiarity with Microsoft BI tools (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI) is a plus
• Interest in cloud platforms and tools like Azure, Databricks, and Power BI Fabric
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset
