What You’ll Own

As part of the Mainframe Transactions Processing team you will be responsible for providing technical leadership to the team, managing escalations, providing technical solutions, performing support activities required to maintain high level of availability and stability for one or more applications including incidents/problem analysis and resolutions, change deployment and certification, application performance, application operations management and development support.

What You Bring

• 6+ years of experience in IBM Mainframe technologies
• L2 and L3 production support experience on IBM Mainframes
• COBOL / Assembler skills
• JCL
• VSAM & DB2
• Automation experience
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills
• Experience of Financial Services industry.
• Experience of matrix management of resources.
• Able to recognize and articulate project risks and issues for others to understand.
• Takes ownership and pride in delivery of high quality projects.
• Able to build trust, willing to express opinions in debates, buy into decisions showing commitment and be accountable.
• Experience or understanding of ITIL Service Management principles at a basic level.
• Strong work ethic – pride in professionalism, responsibility and highly proactive
• Achieving Excellence. Leads by example. A ‘can do’ positive attitude.
  
  

Good to have

• Technical Lead experience in Mainframe support projects with experience of leading the Bridge calls for production support incidents
• SAS and/or REXX experience would be an added advantage
• Payments and/or Banking domain experience
