Senior Software Test Engineer

A Day in the Life

As a Senior Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test strategies and plans to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior testers, and drive continuous improvement in test processes.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Design, implement, and maintain manual test cases for software applications.
• Develop test plans, test scripts, and test data for functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Collaborate with software developers and product owners to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Identify, document, and track defects, work with development teams for timely resolution.
• Lead and mentor junior test engineers, providing guidance and technical expertise.
• Continuously improve testing processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Participate in reviews and ensure best practices in software quality.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO for medical devices).
  
  
  

Required knowledge and experience:

• 8+ years of experience in software testing.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Preferred Qualifications:
• Proficiency in Python scripting for automation.
• Experience in testing software for medical devices or regulated industries.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• ISTQB or similar certification. Education:
• Required: - B. E or B. Tech in Computer Sciences, Electronics or Electrical Engineer.
• Preferred: - M. E or M. Tech in Computer Sciences, Electronics or Electrical Engineer.
