The role of a Logistics Assistant is pivotal in ensuring the smooth movement of goods and materials within an organization's supply chain. This position demands a detail-oriented professional who can effectively coordinate and manage various logistics activities, including inventory management, transportation, and order processing. As a Logistics Assistant, you will be liaising with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to maintain streamlined operations and meet organizational goals. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate logistics operations to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and product shipments daily.
  • Work closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure effective supply chain operations.
  • Assist in preparing shipping documents and handling order processing tasks.
  • Analyze logistics processes and suggest improvements to increase efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with logistics regulations and company's policy standards.
  • Liaise with internal teams to better understand customer needs and fulfillment orders.
  • Manage load planning and coordinate transportation for optimal utilization of freight.
  • Conduct periodic inventory audits to maintain accuracy and organization integrity.
  • Provide administrative support to the logistics department as needed.
  • Resolve any issues related to shipment delays and report discrepancies to management.
  • Support the implementation of logistics programs and projects as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a logistics or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes and warehouse operations.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with different stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
