Specializing in both Hydraulics and Hydrology disciplines, are responsible for Review of Hydrological Studies and Hydraulic Designs for Hydro Power and Pump Storage Project components (Intake, Dam, Barrage, Energy dissipation arrangement, Spillway, Desilting Basin, HRT, Pressure Shaft / Penstock, Upstream Surge shaft and downstream Surge Chamber and Tail race system) and finalize the General Layout arrangements of the Projects. Understanding of technical specifications for Tender projects and Review of hydraulic design reports as per IS codes, CEA / CWC guidelines, CBIP and USBR Guidelines etc.
Review and preliminary hydraulic designs for hydraulic structure like Dam, Barrage, Intake, Water conductor system etc.
Developing initial ideas for Planning and designing of Hydro project and PSP
Water Availability studies and Power potential studies
Surge Shaft
Quantity estimation
Numerical analysis in HEC RAS Software (1D and 2D)
Numerical analysis in 3D Software (like flow 3D Hydro)
Reservoir sedimentation studies for fixing new zero elevation of the reservoir and long-term siltation profile
Transient analysis (Whamo OR Hammer)
Desilting chamber
Energy dissipation arrangement
Reservoir planning, Various zones of reservoirs, Area-elevation & Storage elevation curve, Design storm studies, Standard Project Flood (SPF), Probable Maximum Flood (PMF). Guidelines for selecting design flood
Hydrograph analysis, Separation of stream flow components, Unit Hydrograph, Synthetic Unit Hydrograph,
Peak flood estimation at site, Flood Frequency analysis, Selection of design return period, Annual and partial duration series, regional flood frequency analysis, Reservoir and channel flood Routing.

Uplift Pressure Calculation
Depth of cut-off and Protection works
Preparation of Design Basis and Hydraulic design Reports
Hydraulic studies for reverification various levels like Top level of Dam / Barrage, Spillway invert level, Sizes of Spillway bays, Dimensions of Energy dissipation arrangement and Intake invert.
Pressure transient analysis of the system is carried out to check and optimize the suitability of upstream surge shaft and downstream surge tank.

Formulation of Numerical models and conducting thorough analysis to identify any design flaws
