Mō te tūranga | About the Role

This exciting new opportunity within our business and will report straight into our General Manager Service Delivery. Youll make sure that the products and services you obtain are of value, that risks are controlled, and that procurement systems and procedures adhere to best practices.

In this crucial position, you will be a reliable source of guidance on all matters related to procurement and actively promote a commercial, strategic dialogue.

In This Role, You’ll

• Lead the development and execution of TLC’s procurement strategy
• Apply whole-of-life cost analysis to strategic capital and operational initiatives
• Manage the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services
• Continuously improve procurement practices to drive value and efficiency
• Lead our Stores team

We are seeking a self-motivated and organised individual who has excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills with a collaborative style of engagement. If youre passionate about creating value, driving change, and building strong partnerships — this is your moment. 📋💡

To become the preferred candidate, you would have had previous experience and skills in the following areas:

• A recognised technical qualification or equivalent experience
• 5+ years in procurement and materials management
• Experience managing tenders and contracts
• Knowledge of NZ contract law and sourcing principles
• MCIPS accreditation (desirable but not essential)
• Experience in the electricity or utilities sector (a bonus!)
