Quality Inspector (225-718)

The Quality Inspector plays a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of production and manufacturing quality. This position is responsible for observing and evaluating the production process, implementing quality control policies, and identifying product defects or deviations from quality standards. A successful Quality Inspector will possess a keen eye for detail and an in-depth understanding of production and quality processes. They will work closely with production teams, ensuring that the manufactured goods meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements. This role requires both technical expertise and an analytical mindset to contribute effectively to the company’s quality assurance objectives. As a Quality Inspector, you will be instrumental in maintaining the reputation of the company’s brand for quality and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials to ensure they meet specifications.
• Review and approve in-process production by confirming specifications and conducting visual and measurement tests.
• Oversee inspections and provide feedback and training to production staff as needed.
• Document quality assurance activities with detailed reports and performance records.
• Ensure that production processes meet both company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prevent missed production numbers by maintaining efficient inspection processes.
• Identify product defects and develop strategies to resolve quality issues effectively.
• Collaborate with the Production team to improve product quality and production efficiency.
• Monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards consistently.
• Make recommendations for product, process, or quality system improvements.
• Assist in the setting of quality assurance policies and procedures for the organization.
• Participate in internal audits and support external audits as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications preferred.
• Previous experience in manufacturing or quality inspection roles is required.
• Strong knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies.
• Excellent observational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to understand technical documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong communication skills for reporting and addressing quality issues.
• Proficiency in using inspection equipment and basic computer applications.
