Key Responsibilities

Lead and execute AWS MAP Phase 1 (Assessment) activities for legacy Java-based applications.

Perform detailed discovery and portfolio analysis of existing applications, infrastructure, and dependencies.

Conduct Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis using AWS tools (e.g., Migration Evaluator).

Identify business and technical drivers for cloud migration and modernization.

Develop application migration readiness assessments (MRA) and define right-sizing strategies.

Recommend suitable AWS services for modernization (e.g., EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, RDS, Aurora).

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather technical and functional details of the application.

Document architecture diagrams, assessment reports, and transformation roadmaps.

Present findings and recommendations to client leadership and AWS teams.

Hands-on experience with AWS core services including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, CloudWatch, and IAM.

Solid understanding of Java EE/legacy monolithic applications, application servers (WebLogic, JBoss, Tomcat), and associated tech stack.

Experience in rehosting, replat forming, or refactoring legacy applications.

Familiarity with application performance profiling, cost optimization, and license analysis.
