About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and results-oriented FP&A professional with a minimum of over 6+ years of relevant experience in financial planning, budgeting, and performance analysis across diverse business units. Should have a track record in managing transitions, including cost center realignments and should have been part of financial system migrations. Exposure to developing allocation models, forecasting tools, and dashboards to support strategic decision-making. Adept at partnering with cross-functional teams to drive financial clarity and operational efficiency. Strong command of SAP, Excel and relevant analytical tools with a focus on automation and process improvement.

What You Will Do

The Candidate must lead by example with a ‘get it done attitude’ setting, and with excellent communication skills. Responsibilities include the following:

  • Designated subject matter expert for Accounting and Reporting.
  • Adept in the process of Periodical expense Variance Analysis, Open Commitment analysis and Accrual/Prepaid Amortization etc.
  • Prepare and publish a monthly deck of the activities handled across teams.
  • Analysis and Provides reporting on financial statements for SAP reporting entities at a
  • Segment Level
  • Profit Center level.
  • Cost Center level
  • Functional Area level (ex. SGA functions Digital, Finance, Marketing etc.)
  • Basic understanding of the SGA support functions processes.
  • Prepares periodical reports reporting the actuals with the Forecasts and Budgets
  • Ability to plan and prepare Budget process and Budgets for the future period’s basis the discussions.
  • Initiates discussions with the teams (Business Partners) to get the insights of the Business processes and the updates abd the ability to convert them into Forecast and Budget relevant numbers.
  • Creates and maintains custom reports to aid Business Partners requirements and evaluate and report financial results.
  • Understand the Adhoc queries from the Business Partners and provide them on time.
  • Ad Hoc Reports/Analysis, leveraging BPC and SAP system expertise.
  • Understanding of overhead business processes like Marketing, Finance, Facilities etc.
  • Suggest process improvement initiatives, specifically related to the
  • Prepare reports to research complex accounting issues and propose appropriate results.
  • Respond to audit requests, working with other team members as needed.
  • Provides other assistance to Division Accounting team and broader Division Finance personnel as needed.

What You Need To Be Successful

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related fields (B.Com, M.Com, CA Inter or equivalent)
  • 8-10 years of Strong Fundamental Accounting experience.
  • Good knowledge of SAP, BPC systems
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP required.
  • Advanced Knowledge of Excel/Powerpoint required.
  • Good understanding of Chart of accounts, cost objects, mapping, ability to interpret the business reporting requirements and able to construct such reports by aligning it from various sources.
  • Willingness to work in EU time zone and accept & delivery deliverables in a stringent timeline.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English, both written and verbal
  • Ability to effectively work across functional boundaries to bring tasks to successful conclusion.
  • Capable of handling multiples projects / initiatives simultaneously and executing to completion
  • Ability to work effectively within a matrix environment.

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Understanding and working in past organizations that have centralized and de-centralized structures as business requirements change.
  • Awareness of General accounting, reporting, consolidation & reconciliation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and perform effectively in a fast-paced matrixed environment.
  • Clear and strategic thinker; proven experience in translating strategies into actionable plans.
  • Proven team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge and experience with MS Office tools, SAP, BPC and BI and their Databses is an added avantage
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and balance workload to meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, multi-tasking and strong follow through required.
  • Ability to understand data base structure of the Key ERP and other workflow and reporting tools to be able to extract data to support various reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrated problem solving, facilitation, presentation skills and analytical skills

  • This position requires the use of a use of a HARMAN or customer-owned vehicle. As such, any offer of employment will be contingent upon having a clean driving record, which will be evaluated and determined in HARMAN’s sole discretion, no more than 4 active points for moving violations (issued by any motor vehicle agency), and no references to operating a vehicle under the influence of controlled substances within the last 10 years.
