Senior Test Engineer

Calix provides the cloud, software platforms, systems and services required for communications service providers to simplify their businesses, excite their subscribers and grow their value.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with product Test, development and engineering teams to understand product and feature requirements.
• Understand the feature and prepare high level strategy for feature testing.
• Write test plan to validate the features developed and automate the same.
• Perform manual and automated test script execution, failure analysis, debug and follow it up through defect submission and validation/closure.
• Automate features using python and robot framework.
• Collaborate closely with Cross-functional Teams - local and remote test engineers, Development engineers at all Calix sites, PLLs, Customer-Support & TAC.
  
  
  

• Overall 5 to 10 years of experience in test and automation in Networking domain.
• 4+ years of experience in a Networking & Telecommunication centric environment.
• 4+ years of experience developing automation using Python, PyTest and Robot framework.
• 4+ years of experience testing in one or more of the following areas:
• Routing & Switching Protocols (RSTP, MSTP, BGP, OSPF, ISIS, SDWAN, SDN)
• Subscriber management – DHCP(v4/v6/over vrf/Internal/external), Radius, Diameter, NAT, ACL
• Product Security testing (ZTNA, Next gen firewall, IDS/IPS, DDoS, IPSec, L2/L3 VPN, Secure web gateway)
• Telemetry – GNMI/IPFix/SNMP/Syslog
• Experience with CI/CD framework, Bamboo for automated test scheduling, result reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, both on a proactive, planned, project basis as well as a crisis/problem recovery situation.
• Must be detail-oriented, be able to work independently and sometimes with limited information, proactively communicate status, issues, and support needs to appropriate manager(s).
