The Role:

Our backend is powered by Clojure, a functional programming language that helps us maintain and support our own DSL. While we dont expect you to know Clojure beforehand, youll be expected to pick it up. We believe in the power of functional programming and are excited to help you grow in this direction. We are looking for a programmer with solid fundamentals and comfortable with PostgreSQL.

We need someone who is technically strong, has a good foundation in programming basics, is energetic, highly collaborative, and passionate about building great products.

Responsibilities:

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested clojure code
• Write and maintain backend services using PostgreSQL and RESTful APIs
• Collaborate with the product team to plan and implement new features
• Work closely with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration
• Its a 5-day in office role

Qualifications:

• Strong programming experience in at least one backend friendly language (Clojure, Golang, Python, Java, JavaScript, Ruby, etc.)
• Solid understanding of any two Backend Languages (Java/GoLang Preferred)
• Solid understanding of relational databases
• Experience with RESTful APIs
• Understanding of web application architecture

Good to have:

• Experience with any functional programming language
• Knowledge of GraphQL
• Understanding of distributed systems concepts
• Prior experience with microservices architecture
