About The Role

In this role, you will help to shape and drive Harman’s cloud-based automotive software development toolchains as part of Harman’s broader software products portfolio.

You will lead a small team to ensure the highest quality of the toolchain product and perform the testing at scale via automation.

You will be responsible for ensuring the toolchain product meets the quality standards as required by Harman and customers.

You will be responsible for the continued transformation of HARMAN Automotive into a leading tech player in software. You are an inspiring leader for our global team and your global peers, who show both the technical and business acumen to rapidly grow our product family and its corresponding business in a rapidly growing ecosystem.

Your Team: You will lead a small testing team, plan their tasks, and bring them to closure. You will not have any direct reports.

What You Will Do

• Your will continuously improve the quality of toolchain product by meticulous and automated testing at scale.
• You will focus to move majority testing of cockpit automotive software to cloud and automate it.
• You will focus to move entire testing of toolchain product to cloud and automate it.
• Create a test plan and test cases for various forms of testing like smoke, sanity, release, regression, stress testing etc.
• You will own and execute different forms of testing like smoke, sanity, release, regression, stress testing etc. for toolchain.
• You will lead a small team to ensure the quality of product is always maintained and continuously improved. You will also be responsible to maximize the output of this team.
• You will ensure an efficient integration of cloud-based testing into the CICD pipeline in order to reduce the overall development lead time (commit to releasable software)
• Always ensure efficient use of public cloud and strive to optimize cloud costs.
• You will design and implement a testing framework that is cloud based, highly scalable and can enable parallel testing.
• Be up to date on latest cloud technologies and automotive industry trends. Should be able to adapt quickly to new technologies.
  
  

What You Need To Be Successful

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent; BE with MBA would be preferred.
• 10-15 years of overall software validation experience
• At least 5-year experience in validating web-based SaaS applications.
• At least 5-year experience in validating automotive infotainment software.
• Experience in automating a test suite for web-based SaaS applications.
• Experience in automating a test suite for automotive infotainment software.
• Experience working with Azure public cloud.
• Experience in driving the test architecture starting from requirements to deployment.
• Exposure in Google Compliance Testing (CTS, VTS, STS, ACTS etc)
• Familiar with CDD , GAS and related test suites (like the Compatibility Test Suite)
• In-Depth understanding of -Requirement analysis - Test Case Creation - Test Case Execution - Sanity Test.
• Good understanding of development project cycle
• Good understanding of Continuous integration and deployment
• Good understanding of test Driven Development practices.
• Ability to solve the problem independently.
• Strong problem-solving skills and awareness of DevOps and Agile principles.
• Expertise in scripting languages like python, Ruby
• Must bring top-notch management skills and a deep appreciation of development tools, techniques, systems, and solutions.
• Demonstrate experience owning a feature from requirements analysis through to general availability in market. Should be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
  
  

Bonus Points if You Have

• Testing knowledge of overall vehicle testing, that includes other domains like vehicle, chasis, powertrain, ADAS etc.
• Testing with Digital twin on cloud.
• Good experience in creating and generating testing data for testing scenarios that requires huge amount of data (like certain use cases of Autonomous driving)
