Role Overview

As an SDET-2 at Lovelocal, you will take on a more advanced role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will lead the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks, mentor junior team members, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Your contributions will directly impact the scalability and performance of our applications, ensuring a seamless experience for our users.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and robust automated test frameworks and test suites.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define test strategies and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Mentor and guide junior SDETs in best practices for test automation, code quality, and testing methodologies.
• Conduct in-depth performance, load, and stress testing to ensure system scalability and reliability.
• Identify, document, and track complex software defects, and work with developers to ensure timely resolution.
• Drive the integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and optimize testing processes for efficiency.
• Contribute to the evolution of testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies to improve overall software quality.
• Participate in architectural discussions to ensure testability and quality are embedded in the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software releases.
  
  

• 5-7 years of experience in software development and test automation.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar.
• Advanced expertise in test automation tools and frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, Pytest, JUnit, or TestNG.
• Strong experience with API testing tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.
• Solid understanding of SQL and database concepts.
• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or Gatling.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  
  

• Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Exposure to mobile testing frameworks like Appium.
• Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience in using Generative AI (GenAI) tools and AI Agents for test case generation, test automation, or defect analysis.
• Familiarity with AI/ML-based testing tools or frameworks.
