Job Title: Remote Finance Manager – Multi-Entity Bookkeeping (Canada-Based Experience Required)

Each entity plays a specific role in service delivery, risk management, and financial strategy. We’re currently seeking a Remote Finance Manager with sharp critical thinking skills, deep financial intuition, and a background in Canadian bookkeeping and reconciliation across multiple corporate structures.


Who You Are:

You’re a sophisticated, detail-oriented finance professional who understands the complexities of managing inter-company books, moving funds across multiple entities, and ensuring legal financial protections. Youre not just a bookkeeper, you’re a financial problem solver, someone who knows how money moves, how to protect assets, and how to track everything flawlessly.

You’re confident working independently, have excellent reconciliation skills, and know how to document every transaction while remaining legally compliant. You’re not intimidated by complexity, you thrive on it.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the financial books for interconnected corporate entities
  • Track, categorize, and reconcile all incoming and outgoing transactions daily using approved accounting systems and methods.
  • Ensure inter-company transactions are properly recorded, reconciled, and documented in compliance with Canadian financial practices and standards.
  • Manage financial risk by helping strategically distribute funds across entities to ensure legal protection (e.g., holding no assets in exposed divisions).
  • Support cash flow movement across all accounts and ensure correct allocation between operating companies, subscriptions, leasing, and the holding company.
  • Collaborate with external accountants and tax professionals for filings and reporting.
  • Work closely with leadership to advise on financial efficiency, budget distribution, and cost control across departments.
  • Maintain monthly financial reports, cash flow statements, and forecasts for each entity.
  • Prepare consolidated financial summaries for the executive team upon request.


Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in bookkeeping, finance, or accounting support, preferably with multi-entity structures.
  • Experience working with Canadian companies and understanding Canadian finance regulations is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated ability to reconcile complex financials across multiple business units or companies.
  • Experience with cloud-based accounting platforms (QuickBooks Online, Xero, Zoho Books, or similar).
  • Exceptional attention to detail, documentation, and internal reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and handle sensitive financial data with full confidentiality.
  • Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.


Nice-to-Have (Not Mandatory):
  • Experience in property management, real estate, or leasing companies.
  • Familiarity with tax coordination across companies in Canada.
  • Previous work with VEOs, CFOs or legal counsel regarding liability and fund management.
