Cloud Engineer

Job Description

• Recommend and implement improvements to the cloud platform.
• Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems and applications using cloud-native architectures such as microservices and containers.
• Manage, monitor, and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and sustainability.
• Ensure proper security controls and compliance with industry standards and implement cloud security tools like Prowler and Kubescape.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues efficiently.
• Collaborate with development, IT, and security teams to deliver best-in-class cloud solutions.
• Automate system operations and support disaster recovery planning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Pulumi.
• Work with multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments, leveraging AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and other cloud platforms.
• Integrate AI and machine learning services into cloud solutions for automation, predictive analytics, and enhanced decision-making.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of edge computing and Internet of Things (IoT) integrations.
• Utilize serverless computing and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes and Docker.
• Implement DevSecOps practices for secure cloud deployments.
• Stay current with emerging trends including quantum computing and cloud sustainability initiatives.
• Bachelors/master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Hands-on experience in cloud platforms—AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell), automation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator) are highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices.
