We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Bids and Proposals Engineer for Railway. In this position, you are responsible for working with the team and support in acquisition and working out tenders for turnkey Railway Power Supply System projects from the early pursuit phase until final negotiation, contract signature and handover to the execution team. During preparation, you will support the interdisciplinary tender team. For small tenders you will conduct all tender work by yourself.

What will you do?

• Prepare reports and research markets to identify projects in the early stage, understand customer requirements.
• Support the lead for assigned tenders, where required with the help of interdisciplinary supporting team consisting of engineering, project management, legal, commercial and supply chain management.
• Prepare and support for on-time and complete technical and commercial tender submittal to the customer and provide value added support for the technical and commercial negotiations with customers.
• Manage and prepare presentation and white paper for review with senior management
• Furthermore, you develop a network with suppliers in order to increase market reach and ease future business.
• Documentation Collect input documentation regarding the offer/order and records assumptions and decisions taken during the development of supply/order.
• Support the tender lead in the Project Approval System and Risk Review Process inline with company polices and processes.
  
  

Experience, Education And Other Required

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent with Minimum 4-5 years’ experience and around 2 years’ experience in transportation sector
• In depth experience and knowledge of preparing presentation and reports.
• Knowledge of process in power supply systems sales and tendering.
• Experience of working with railway & urban transportation customers & system integrators.
• Knowledge of various industry standards and practices in various kinds of markets.
• Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work with cross-functional and cross-border teams as well as to cope with a flexible-load environment.
• Should be willing to travel approx. 20% of working time.
• Should be fluent in English and have good communication skills.
