Job Description
We are seeking a talented and innovative Automation Engineer / PowerShell Developer to join our dynamic team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions to enhance our infrastructure and systems efficiency.
- Analyze and evaluate system requirements to design effective automation solutions
- Develop and maintain robust PowerShell and Bash scripts for Windows and MacOS environments
- Create and optimize workflows to streamline operations and improve productivity
- Integrate PowerShell and Bash scripts with multiple systems using APIs and webhooks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and implement solutions
- Maintain, improve, and add new features to existing automation code
- Document scripts, workflows, and processes for knowledge sharing and future reference
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automation technologies and best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation scripts and workflows
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development and automation
- Strong scripting knowledge in PowerShell, with experience supporting large Windows infrastructure environments
- Proficiency in Bash scripting for MacOS environments
- Experience working with APIs, webhooks, and integrating scripts with various IT applications
- Good understanding of Python scripting and its application in automation
- Expertise in developing PowerShell scripts for Office 365 products, including SharePoint, Teams, Office Administration, and Azure Active Directory
- Familiarity with contemporary development tools, especially Git and other version control systems
- Solid understanding of infrastructure, networking, and security concepts
- Experience with automation frameworks and tools
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Demonstrated capacity to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
