Job Description

An Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Supervisor plays a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating all aspects of electrical and instrumentation work within a project or facility. This involves ensuring that all electrical systems and instruments are installed, tested, commissioned, and maintained to the highest standards of quality and safety. The E&I Supervisor leads a team of skilled technicians and works closely with other engineering departments to ensure seamless integration of electrical and instrumentation functions. This position demands not only a high level of technical expertise but also strong leadership skills, as the E&I Supervisor is responsible for directing daily operations, solving complex technical problems, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The position requires proficiency in designing, testing, and implementing electrical and instrumentation systems across various applications.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all electrical and instrumentation installation activities.
  • Ensure installations comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Lead a team of technicians in performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
  • Conduct regular inspections and tests on electrical systems and instruments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and instrumentation issues.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance activities and project progress.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments to facilitate technical integration.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation related to electrical and instrumentation work.
  • Ensure availability and proper functioning of necessary tools and equipment.
  • Develop and implement strategies for improving team efficiency and performance.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets and resources effectively.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technological advancements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in electrical and instrumentation supervision.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and regulatory compliance is essential.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing technical teams effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and experience with complex troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in using electrical and instrumentation design and analysis software.
  • Strong communication skills for documentation and inter-departmental collaboration.
