Job Description

The role of Deputy Project Manager - Quality is a critical position within our organization, designed to support the Project Manager in leading and managing a high standard of quality in various projects. This position involves coordinating quality assurance across all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring deliverables meet defined standards and client expectations. The Deputy Project Manager - Quality is responsible for implementing best practices in quality management, and establishing efficient protocols to minimize errors, defects, or any inconsistencies that may arise during project execution. Furthermore, the individual will assist in developing risk management strategies and compiling quality metrics to ensure continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.


Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise quality assurance procedures and best practices across all projects.
  • Assist the Project Manager in driving initiatives to achieve quality deliverables.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure quality benchmarks are met consistently.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive quality control measures and standards.
  • Prepare detailed reports on quality metrics for ongoing evaluation and improvement.
  • Identify potential risks related to quality and propose effective mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality assurance frameworks.
  • Provide training and support to staff on quality control practices and policies.
  • Lead testing and inspection processes to maintain high quality of project outputs.
  • Participate in project planning meetings and contribute to quality-related discussions.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure alignment with quality goals and timelines.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Quality Assurance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management or project management.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and related software tools.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with a focus on quality outcomes.
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills are essential for this role.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, are required.
  • Certified in quality management systems or project management is preferred.
