Job Description

The role of a Deputy Project Manager - Quality is pivotal in ensuring that project deliverables meet the highest standards of quality throughout the project life cycle. The ideal candidate will work closely with project managers and quality control teams to facilitate seamless communication and effective execution of quality standards and processes. This position entails overseeing the planning, implementation, and monitoring of quality measures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, and identifying areas for improvement. A keen attention to detail, strong leadership skills, and an analytical mind are essential attributes for this role. The Deputy Project Manager - Quality will also be responsible for developing training materials, preparing quality reports, and liaising with stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.


Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager in strategizing and implementing quality assurance processes and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with project teams to set and uphold quality standards and benchmarks.
  • Monitor project activities to ensure adherence to quality and compliance standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to evaluate the effectiveness of quality management systems.
  • Identify quality issues and develop corrective action plans to resolve them efficiently.
  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops to improve project team quality awareness.
  • Prepare detailed quality reports and present findings to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Manage documentation related to project quality standards and inspection protocols.
  • Continuously review and enhance quality control processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during quality audits and compliance checks.
  • Ensure that project deliverables comply with contractual requirements and industry regulations.
  • Support risk management efforts to mitigate potential quality-related project risks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project quality management or similar roles.
  • Strong understanding of quality standards, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in quality assessment.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder liaison.
  • Proficiency in using quality management software and tools for reporting.
