MEP Draftsman (225-804)

We are seeking a skilled MEP Draftsman to join our dynamic team and contribute to our exceptional projects by preparing detailed mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) drawings. As an MEP Draftsman, you will play a crucial role in designing and preparing drawings that reflect precise specifications and project requirements. Your technical expertise and attention to detail will be vital in ensuring optimal project execution and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of MEP systems, proficiency in computer-aided design software, and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams to develop innovative and efficient solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings using CAD software.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project requirements.
• Review and analyze engineering sketches, specifications, and building codes.
• Prepare layout plans ensuring alignment with project objectives and standards.
• Revise draft designs based on feedback and ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate with project managers to align design specifications with project timelines.
• Maintain document control and manage drawing files for easy retrieval.
• Conduct field visits to assess project progress and ensure design compliance.
• Support the development of BIM models incorporating MEP design features.
• Prepare and present draft designs to clients and project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all local and international design standards and codes.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of drafting standards and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field required.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in drafting for MEP projects desired.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and designs.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively.
• Familiarity with building codes and regulations relevant to MEP design.
