The Role: Associate Director, Office of the CEO, Planning, Analysis, & Operations
The Associate Director, OCEO Planning, Analysis, & Operations works closely with the Chief of Staff to the CEO, supporting the overall effectiveness and organization of the Office of the CEO both internally and externally. This is a critical role in the Office of the CEO, providing support to the Office of the CEO team, and delivering excellence in an exciting, fast-paced and high-performance work environment.

Key Responsibilities
CEO & OCEO Efficiency and Effectiveness
- Work closely with key team members to enhance the Chief of Staff’s ability to provide direction-setting, problem identification and solving, decision alignment, speed and transparent communication. Develop strong working relationships with OCEO team and other key internal stakeholders.
- Help the Chief of Staff support the CEO by gathering information and synthesizing views. Surface, connect and translate "the dots".
- Support Chief of Staff activities: development of CEO board reports and updates and support executive events, as required.
- Support effective flow of information and decisions for the Chief of Staff and CEO.
- Help manage and track CEO stakeholder engagement and follow-up in coordination with the Chief of Staff. Facilitate regular outreach and touchpoints as needed.
- Partner closely with executive assistants who lead on calendar management, to ensure the most effective use of the CEO’s time.
- Support executive events (such as Board meetings) & strategic offsites
- Contribute to creating new OCEO efficiencies and capabilities, to support the CEO better
Project Leadership
- Execution of selected key initiatives or projects and additional duties as assigned by the Chief of Staff.
- Monitor and maintain an inventory of critical path projects in which the OCEO is especially interested and/or for which awareness and involvement is essential.
- Determine the proper course of action and ensure all issues are addressed properly and efficiently and keep track of progress until complete.
CEO Communications
- Potential to collaborate and support internal and external communications of the CEO
- As needed, help prepare briefing packets and meetings for CEO and related executive meetings or events.
Other Performance Enablers
- Partner with communications, strategy, legal, IR, people, finance, and division teams to support collaboration with the OCEO.
- Support the Chief of Staff in monitoring internal data related to organizational performance (P&L, KPI reporting etc.) and external insights about markets and competition.
- Analyze statistics, research data, KPIs and company/country data as needed on an ad-hoc basis.
- Develop and implement AI and automation solutions to make our work more productive and efficient
- Execute additional responsibilities as directed by the Chief of Staff.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in financial services, professional services, or related field; comprehensive understanding of S&P Global’s businesses, products, and services.
- Significant experience interacting with senior leaders.
- Broad range of experience with analysis tools and frameworks.
- Experience developing and implementing AI/automation solutions to increase productivity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including storytelling with data in PowerPoint and Excel.
- Work schedule would require overlap with Eastern time zone during 8:00 am - 1:00 pm on a daily basis.
- RTO of 2 days/week

- Strong communication and facilitation skills with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across the organization to drive business results without ego.
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex situations and multiple responsibilities, addressing immediate demands while managing long-term projects.
- Ability to represent the role and the Office of the CEO with maturity, confidence, urgency, diplomacy, and humility.
- Proven ability to navigate effectively within a large matrixed organization with high standards of quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Ability to handle confidential information with absolute discretion and unquestioned ethics.
- Resilience and strong emotional intelligence to engage diplomatically and constructively with stakeholders.
