Job Description

The Finance Associate plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the organization by ensuring accurate financial records, preparing reports, and assisting with the analysis of financial data. This position requires a deep understanding of financial principles, as well as practical experience in finance and accounting methodologies. As a Finance Associate, you will be responsible for supporting various finance and accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, and helping the finance team with ad-hoc projects. Your meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical skills will be vital in helping the company achieve its financial goals. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and highly skilled in financial software and tools, with a collaborative approach to working with internal teams and external stakeholders.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update accurate financial records and ledgers consistently on time.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to perform detailed financial analysis tasks.
  • Support budget preparation and monitoring of financial performance against budgets.
  • Assist in conducting internal audits and maintaining audit schedules regularly.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure transaction accuracy.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Prepare and file tax returns, and assist in tax compliance activities.
  • Provide financial data and analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Monitor cash flow and advise on capital management strategies and improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies at all times.
  • Participate in finance-related meetings and contribute insights and suggestions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for team collaboration.
