The Warehouse Inventory Executive is a crucial role within the logistics and supply chain management sector, responsible for overseeing and managing the inventory system to ensure efficient and seamless warehouse operations. This position demands a highly organized individual with an acute eye for detail, capable of coordinating and maintaining inventory levels, addressing discrepancies, and ensuring the optimal flow of goods. The role involves collaboration with various departments to uphold the integrity of the warehouse's inventory, facilitate audits, and drive continuous improvements in inventory processes. Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage daily inventory levels to prevent shortages or surplus.
  • Coordinate with the procurement team to align inventory levels with demand forecasts.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy and rectify discrepancies promptly.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and systems effectively.
  • Develop and produce detailed inventory reports for management review and analysis.
  • Ensure the accurate labeling and categorization of goods in the warehouse.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to optimize space utilization and storage plans.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new inventory management techniques.
  • Communicate inventory issues and potential stockouts to relevant departments proactively.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in inventory handling.
  • Train and mentor junior staff on inventory best practices and procedures.
  • Handle special inventory projects as assigned and ensure their successful completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse or inventory management roles.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and solve problems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage inventory records.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective reporting.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance regarding warehouse operations.
