The role of a Reservation Executive is a crucial position within the hospitality and travel industry, responsible for ensuring seamless booking experiences for clients. A Reservation Executive is typically employed in hotels, travel agencies, airlines, or tourism companies. This professional acts as the first point of contact, managing customer inquiries, handling bookings, and addressing any issues that might arise during the reservation process. Responsibilities

  • Manage all reservations and booking inquiries effectively and efficiently.
  • Process reservations from direct calls, emails, and online booking systems.
  • Handle customer inquiries and provide detailed information about properties and services.
  • Ensure all reservation details are accurate and updated in the system.
  • Resolve any booking issues or disputes with diplomacy and tact.
  • Collaborate with front desk staff to ensure smooth check-in and check-out processes.
  • Keep track of room availability and manage inventory to maximize occupancy.
  • Assist in the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly booking reports.
  • Coordinate special booking requests or requirements with appropriate departments.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge to answer customer questions accurately.
  • Upsell hotel services and amenities to enhance guest experience.
  • Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new software and industry trends.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; degree in hospitality preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in reservations or front desk operations.
  • Proficiency in reservation and hotel management software systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-oriented approach.
